The house has been carefully restored so that its past resonates through large rooms with stone walls and aged timber, and yet it takes care of you in comfort and luxury. It welcomes 12 guests in 6 bedrooms, the ideal size for a party that can scintillate with sociability while remaining intimate. Each bedroom is individually styled, reflective of the many stories through which this ancestral home has lived. They have doors to courtyards, little terraces with views over the estate, one has a beautiful old four-poster bed and they all embrace modernity with en suite bathrooms.

Spaces for socialising wend through the elegant interior and expand outside into the romantic ochre-stoned courtyard and onto lawns with views to the sea. The sitting and dining rooms are cool and inviting in summer, with large open fires to light when the evenings turn chill. An additional living room can be arranged for the purposes you require, whether as a meeting room or a relaxing space with facilities for all those treatments to prepare for a Big Day. A bar area invites guests to gather as the sun goes down before wandering out into the courtyard where Spanish guitars might be filling the air with their resonant chords and onto the gardens where tables are set for a banquet.

Daytimes can be passed lounging on sunbeds around the pool (for those here to indulge rather than focus) or participating in the numerous activities that can be made available to you and your guests. There is a shooting school, a stable from which to explore the magnificent countryside on horseback, yoga, bike tours, or seeing the beauties of Mallorca from a hot air balloon. And this is an island – you can sail, kayak, snorkel, windsurf, paddle… the list of land and sea-based opportunities goes on and on. But do take time to let the calm of the countryside get into your spirit. There is nothing like wandering the tracks that cross the Mediterranean landscape where Las Barracas has stood since bygone times and connecting with its ancient peace.
