Villa Frankie is a ferociously beautiful villa in the highly-coveted region of Sète, Languedoc. A sandstone statuette, draped in flora, with the Mediterranean beach front as her stage - here’s one for the sun-worshipers and adventure-seekers, looking for their own portion of paradise.
It’s late afternoon when you arrive at Villa Frankie, and you’re just in time to observe her in the natural glow of daylight. The golden hue casts luminous patches onto her exterior, highlighting the glinting picture windows with their generous views of the neighbouring sea. The heated infinity pool invites you to dip your toes in, and you do so quickly to test the waters – just as heavenly as you thought. There’s already a lounger with your name on it, beach-facing of course, and it’s here where you’ll happily be spending the majority of the week, along with a few breaks to visit your private sauna. Pure bliss.
The kids and your other half have other ideas, as they so often do. They’ve been talking about the more adventurous perks on offer – the paddle boards, kayaks and speedboat that are at your disposal for the week. They’ll be sure to grant you plenty of photo opportunities so you can bring galleries of memories home.
Your friendly concierge guides you through the villa, allowing you to slowly absorb its beauty. The pewter grey walls, striking contemporary art and bold furnishings are worthy of the chicest hotel. You pause in the open plan kitchen where a bottle of champagne awaits you, and toast to a luxurious week ahead.
You also get to meet your spectacular private chef who is adding the final touches to your first bespoke meal. The table is set on the terrace, and soon you’re tucking in to the classic local dish, La Teille Sétoise. A pie packed with a cocktail of freshly Thau Basin-caught seafood, leaving you with the glorious herby aftertaste of the region. To wash it down, one of the finest Rosé wines, it’s delicious colour perfectly complementing the fast-setting sun.
After dinner, you settle into the master bedroom with its pristine en-suite bathroom and panoramic views of the Mediterranean, before joining the group in the cinema room. There really is everything you could possible need here but when you're finally ready to part ways with Villa Frankie for a few hours, you’re prepared to be swept away by Sète’s plentiful bucolic offerings. You plan to explore quaint farmers markets, attractive fishing villages and acres of meandering vineyards, all saturated by the herb-scented air, to make this an all-round, unforgettable great escape.

There is something wonderfully comforting and indulgent about having somebody else take control of the kitchen. When that person is a talented chef with hands-on experience in high-end restaurants, you know you’re in for a mouth-watering treat. We handpick our villa partners for their beautiful properties, stand out service and their dedication to gastronomy. Here’s a taste of what you can expect when staying in one of our catered villas:
When you awake from your dreamy sleep you can rest assured that breakfast has been taken care of and awaits you. Freshly squeezed oranges and healthy fruit juices along with a selection of delicious teas and coffee are just the start. Yoghurts, crispy cereals, fresh fruits and a tempting display of fresh breads & delicate pastries complete the table. Your chef will also prepare a daily cooked hot option for you - how do you like your eggs? If creamy porridge with honey or simply toast hits the spot, just ask, it’s on the menu. With breakfast taken care of all you have to do is decide how to spend the day. A trip to a stunning beach or perhaps time relaxing by your own private pool – decisions, decisions! Life can be tough …….
Whether you’d prefer to have your chef prepare a wonderful spread at lunchtime or alternatively you’d like to dine al-fresco under the stars, the choice is yours. With an emphasis on using specially selected fresh local and seasonal ingredients you will be served a melt-in-the-mouth meal befitting of a Michelin starred restaurant. From sun soaked BBQ’s on the terrace to delicious locally inspired menus, your chef will be in touch with you personally before your arrival to discuss your preferences.
The villa provides house wines, beers, a drinks tray of two bottles of house spirits and mixers. Champagne is served with canapés on 6 nights of your stay.
The chef is happy to cater to specific dietary requirements. Just let us know about any special requests regarding dietary requirements such as gluten free options. Maybe you’re celebrating a birthday? A cake bedecked with candles can be arranged or maybe just favourite dishes, nothing is too much trouble, just ask. Maybe you’d like an earlier high tea for the youngest children? We will do our very best to ensure that your wishes are granted.
